So my morning didn’t really go as planned. Took an Allertec last night because I wanted to run again this morning. Slept through a windstorm again, woke up at 615 when my alarm went off…and woke up at 645 with my phone (alarm clock) in hand. Oops. Caught the next bus, but had to be ready for a 930 meeting so I couldn’t run for long. Felt good though. Maybe I’ll do some more crunches or something tonight to make up for it, or work with the physio ball. I am very tired though - very busy day. They are making me work for that extra $2 or whatever of the raise I received today, hee hee. Sometimes good things do come to those who wait and work

Warmed up on the elliptical for 10 min before the run, and 15 min after (was just going to do 10, but got distracted by one of the guys who was irritated at a gastric bypass surgery commercial. We had a brief discussion on that. Felt good, glad to get in cardio.

Was nervous about my hurting toe, but it felt fine during the run. Could tell there was a bit of a pain there, but no matter. Felt good during and after the run. Hoping to improve more. My mom signed up for a half marathon walk in September, maybe I can run it? We’ll see.

The roads were such a skating rink - didn’t realize it until I was slipping and sliding in the parking lot :( Already crabby from that, poor sleep the past few nights…workout was OK. How is it that sometimes you wake up and you know, you just know…it’s gonna be one of those days…Sigh. And I’m not sure what the neighbors are dropping on the ground or slamming, but they seem to forget they aren’t the only people in the building…First world problems, first world problems, I have to keep reminding myself.

Was distracted in trying to get ready for the day and squeeze in the workout, so I didn’t try too hard, but I did make the focus of my hooks and uppercuts, the punks who broke into my parents’ house. Three times in the past year. Hopefully they have met their fate already - never too soon for those types of people. Too much eating this weekend (and tomorrow too). Hoping to get back running soon, perhaps Tuesday. Feeling very heavy :/ Weather is calming down back to normal for now (read: rain), so it’s back to business.

Going a bit heavier on the weights for some moves - don’t want to get bulky, although I really don’t have to worry about that…my arms aren’t going anywhere! Less weight, more reps! Less weight, more reps! Four legs good, two legs bad! :) Walked around downtown today, windy out, but it was gorgeously sunny! A nice respite after the cruddy weather this past week. No more snow this winter, please!

I swear I wrote this entry…clearly it was all in my imagination! Office was closed so no work, but cabin fever (and lack of exercise) was killing me. Sitting around watching tv, surfing the net, eating…yesterday I wandered around outside the house knocking ice off branches just to get some fresh air. It felt amazing to run down the hill in my yaktrax, hop on the bus and get to the gym. Did some crunches and weights too. Aaah!

Brought the sheets home in case the office was closed today…yep. Only have 10lb weights here. Did some snow shoveling too. My arms are a bit sore. Hoping conditions are a little better and perhaps office will be open tomorrow so I can get in a decent workout.
